And I just read this comment of yours — including “Perhaps there will be some tremendously galvanizing event” — about an hour after posting my “modest proposal” comment to Paul Street’s piece dated Aug 15.

I was under the impression that providing one’s email with a Dissident Voice comment would prevent it’s posting, but apparently not. As noted in my coment above, I’m at moc.liamtohnull@yeswordyoll. And I would very much welcome hearing from you with your thoughts on my modest proposal.

The very thought of watching something informative or educational like C-span or Discovery makes these people physically ill. How many of us is it? Way more than half and that means as many as 80% in my book. Many of those are capable of being reached no matter what happens. They are just lost in the maze, adrift in the consumerist, propagandized space of CNN and major media lies networks.

Perhaps there will be some tremendously galvanizing event but Americans have such short attention spans that the emotional uplift of the moment would not likely sustain any significant change. We are past the impasse and there is no way back other than to completely change the make-up of the American population. We are seeing that with the hordes of so-called illegal immigrants coming home (sic) but it would also mean a lot of white people that subscribe to the nativist policies of this government leaving.

I don’t see that happening. White people like it here. It they didn’t they wouldn’t have bothered killing all the Indians and enslaving Blacks. They wouldn’t have interned the Japanese either. Whites like the climate of the US and the fact that white supremacy makes them special here regardless of which country they originated from. It’s the land of inequality for anyone that can at least on the surface appear to be white. Who would give that up? Whites have an entire government that they believe is fighting for them, when in fact the government is fighting for itself and the corporations it represents.

The delusion of white supremacy cannot be over-ridden or neutralized with logic. White supremacy itself is illogical. It is the basis for almost every world conflict and inequity in this country and world and still whites claim to be guiltless in its continued purveyance. You try telling a bunch of people that have lived their whole lives believing that their skin actually makes them special that, in reality, that was made up and it’s not true and see what happens. America is what happens and there is no cure for a disease that you are not even willing to admit that you have.
