While the cause of human decency has been greatly assisted by many Jews, from time immemorial, up to the likes of Einstein, Oppenheimer, Chomsky and numerous others, to fail to constantly examine the role of fascist and racist ideology amongst Jews is, I believe, a grave error. Very often the worst of Rightwing ideologues are Jews, of the Likudnick variety. The whole neo-con/Ziocon tendency with is virulent and belligerently arrogant spokesmen, and its utter domination of the mass media,is driving us to religious and race war. Already they have the blood of millions on their hands, yet any criticism of their actions and their insane ideology is suppressed, or met with howls of 'anti-Semitism'. While I do not doubt that anger over the Holocaust and fear of a recurrence may explain some of the witches' brew of Zionist aggression, it must also be plain that religious atavism is also involved. After all the claim to Palestine and the subsequent ethnic cleansing and utter brutality to the Palestinians over decades are justified by recourse to faery stories, most of which archeology has proven to be concoctions. Unless Israel and the Right of World Jewry are somehow compelled to behave decently,there can be no end to the war and strife, and it must end in genocide. Already Iraq, with two or three million excess deaths since 1991, meets many of the criteria of genocide, but what happens if an even more fundamentalist Israeli regime emerges, and seeks to seize forever that part of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Iraq that was encompassed by the Zionists claim of an Eretz Yisrael from the Nile to the Euphrates? The money and political power of Jewry in the US is an unprecedented confluence of events. That a tiny, relentlessly aggressive group has effectively taken over the politics of the sole hyperpower and directs its firepower to its expansionist and racist ends, places not only millions of Middle Easterners in grave danger, the only true 'existential threat' in the region while Israel keeps its nuclear monopoly, but the rest of humanity too. To analyze Cohen simply as a member of the thoroughly co-opted US power elite, without analyzing his Jewish supremacist attitudes as well, is to leave the task half-done.
