I must greet the author for the mind blowing and eye opening article.

Yes, the words of Ron Paul are very refreshing in this political environment, however if he is elected that would mean the Republicans would stay in power. With all the damage they have done to our economy, our military, our media, our civil liberties, our credibility and our psyche, how can anyone vote for a candidate that would mean keeping them in power? Ron Paul needs to change parties.

Great analysis. The mainstream media is far worse than a pack of lies; it's a pack of carefully selected half-truths that an up to an absurd, terrifying yet strangely comforting myth.

But I'd actually found the Guiliani-Paul debate somewhat encouraging. Remember, the studio audience is selected by Fox, and reflects that proportion of America's viewing public who will gleefully whoop along with attacks on anyone who dares add shades of grey to the us-vs-the-monsters fairy tale. But as I understand it, in the opinion polls from viewers at home, Paul's ratings went up and Guiliani's down. This even among the people who watch Fox is surely a sign that people are starting to see through the they-hate-our-freedoms rubbish.

Yes - Cho was not portrayed correctly. Everything to do with his being an alienated, impossible to reach outsider was emphasized, although there were several accounts that he had responded to friendly overtures. There is also enough evidence to suggest his behavior took a turn for the worse around a year and a half before the killings. There is also evidence that he was given or was taking prescription drugs. But that would not fit the picture of unadulterated evil. Now, the attempt is being made to portray the tragedy as as the result of too many privacy laws. That plays down the sheer negligence of the university and health system and opens the door to more violation of citizens' privacy by the government. It makes a nice opening for the companies pushing T MAP, Teen screen and the other mental health testing programs in schools that will open that market to the drug companies.
V Tech will be the excuse for it.

I think the MSM rot (as did a lot of other rot) began when King (now god) Ronnie first allowed concentration of various media in the hands of a few greedy and unscrupulous corporations. That, and the gutting of the 'Fairness Act' . That America would tolerate, mush less take seriously such 'news' providers as Sung Yung Moon, O'reilley, Coulter, Hannity, ABC, NBC, CBS, Cnn, Fox, Time, Newsweek, etc is witness to the state of American society and polity today. Big problem; dumb people.

My father was in the WTC on 9/11 and managed to leave the building safely.

Guiliani's words to Ron Paul disgusted me.

Thank you for having the courage to state the truth.

As a trained journalist who abandoned that career path in disenchantment, I want to thank you for this article. The journalistic tradition in this country has somehow turned itself about. The reason "The Press" was so famously called The Fourth Estate is because freedom of the press was always intended to be the final line of defence when the rest of our system of checks and balances failed.

The whole purpose of a free press is that it should be a persistant, ever-questioning force in our society. This new idea that a press that questions those in power, that only reports on the flaws and shortcomings of government is somehow unpatriotic is absurd. This is precisely what the press SHOULD do.

It amazes me how many of my otherwise intelligent friends buy into the "childish fables" without even pausing to second-guess what they're told. Giuliani jumps on his 9/11 high horse, and hundreds of people in the audience cheer wildly without even considering that what he said was completely untrue! I don't know what I'm gonna do if we have four more years of some pituitary retard in the White House spewing out sound bytes and propaganda. Thanks for giving Ron Paul some unbiased coverage!
