I fully support DePaul University. Finkelstein has repeatedly mislead students and others about events in Israel, the only democratic country in the Mideast. A professor should teach students how to think for themselves, not implant his own irresponsible, irrelevant, highly misleading, and hateful views onto his students.

What a disgusting read. The President’s and the board’s words are pure weasel. It’s like Bush’s attempt to justify commuting Libby. There are not good reason, so lets give mumbling out of boths sides of our mouths a try.

What is most amazing, really, is that Harvard trustees haven’t been sufficiently embarassed by Dershowitz to revoke HIS tenure. From Dershowitz’ eager participation in the defense of OJ Simpson through the Finklestein matter to his letter asking for leniency for “Scooter” Libby (which the judge described as unworthy of a first year law student), Dershowitz actions would seem to be a complete embarassment to the legal profession and to Harvard.

I find this situation close to what history described in the 1930-40s to the European Jews…The Jews; (Professor Finkenstein and other professors that discuss Israel’s occupation of the territory) and
the supporters; (Professor Larudee)…Exterminate them; (eliminate their jobs, research, and thus silence them)….
Even Dershowitz (Harvard’s problem); Representing torture and extermination of the Palestine people is hailed, as many Germans were, during their war crimes…
DID THE WRONG UNIVERSITY TERMINATE THE WRONG PROFESSOR?
Next Harvard will be burning books in the quad….
We have no free speech on this day in the USA….Big brother is turning to be huge lobbies supported by small minoritis…Now wanting to control research and academics…
WAKE UP AND PAY ATTENTION TO WHO IS EDUCATING OUR CHILDREN AS WE SELECT COLLEGES THIS SUMMR AND WHAT THEY STAND FOR!!!
DuPaul is an academic embarrassment! It condones bullying and loss
of academic freedom…
Work to have open hearings about this injustice before it spreads like a fire across learning centers, books, and then into our jobs:
HARVARD HAS BEEN CANCELLED SCHEDULED DATES FOR LECTURE/RECEPTION FOR ANOTHER PROFESSOR THAT DERSHOWITZ DOES NOT AGREE WITH!
